Matthew 6:13a

Awful Warrior, eyes of fire,
Never-ending light of love,
Drawing nearer as we slumber,

Looking ever towards the door.
Ev'ry doorway closely guarded
And defended in His light
Don't you fear, child, He is watching

Until dawn, all through the night.
Sleeper, dreaming of tomorrow,

Never fear when God's your life;
Only trust Him, let Him lead you
To His grace and with Him die.

In His eyes you will find mercy
New each morning, 'freshed love
Tendered to you through sweet Jesus
Offered free by God above.

Total freedom found in Him;
Even giv'n to one like me.
My Redeemer's grace is endless
Poured upon each life He leads.
Take your stand against that lion!
Answer him with sword and shield!
Take upon you all God's armor;
In the Father we can stand;
On solid ground
Now we will stand.
